TLMC v.14 (2012.06.30)

Update any finished Touhou lossless music torrent to the latest v.14 by following these steps:
1. Stop seeding the old torrent.
2. Put this python script in the root of your collection, that is, near the .7z file, and run it. Python 2 interpreter required.
3. Resume with the torrent below, download and seed.

There is also a matching collection of cover/booklet scans.

You might also be interested in supplementary materials: everything that came with touhou albums that is not an album file (.tta) or a cover scan (.jpg/.png). Typical files include cdextra, rip logs, lyrics, music sheets, omake mp3s, minigames, promotional videos, etc.
Touhou lossless music collection v.14 (1.15 TiB or 1 271 783 830 404 bytes).
Torrent file size is 6 724 585 bytes.
File list (0.7 MB) cue sheets (5.5 MB).

Touhou album image collection v.14 (35.3 GiB or 37 880 241 203 bytes).
Torrent file size is 2 790 513 bytes.

TLMC supplementary materials v.14 (15 GiB or 16 156 762 223 bytes).
Torrent file size is 1 165 103 bytes.
Now with 100% less broken pieces.

    This time my RAID was returning garbage once every 100GB read, so I had to hash the music three times and do a 2/3 majority on SHA1 blocks.
    I think it's about time I started including hashsums of all files, so that you know they are safe.

      +1 for this. I had so many problems with v13, probably some file got broken by uTorrent and uTorrent's hashcheck and chkdsk repair (both taking ~half day each to complete on 2TB drive) didn't really helped, so I decided to delete everything from v13 from HDD and download v14 from a scratch, especially since I have access to the faster net on vacation.

      Openbittorrent UDP tracker is down, I've added another one (http). If you got your torrent in the first 10 minutes or so (and it has only one tracker), please redownload it.
      Right now I'm looking how does one make rTorrent connect to another tracker in the torrent's list.

    I just downloaded the 1.3v and now four months past, comes out the 1.4 thank you for what you have done.
    here is my question
    because there is not enough space for me to put all the 1.1T files(1.3 version size) together, I separate them in two disks, how should I use the python script to update the torrent file to download the file which is added in 1.4 version, thank you a lot!!!

      Run the script in both places. Btw, it doesn't update the torrent file, it renames files on disk. You can look inside, its logic is relatively transparent.

      Thank you, now i know how to update the torrent, we just use the python script to rename files to be the same one as in the new torrent and when we are downloading it we will skip the files that we already have, right?

      This torrent has almost all Reitaisai 9 releases available on PD as of July 1st, 2012. The only exception is (例大祭9)(同人音楽)[金魚音楽盤] Hypnotic honey (tta+cue) which is stuck at 26.6% (at least for me).

    Another problem arises, the hash checking is too slow, is there any better way that I can directly download the updated files from 1.3 to 1.4?
    The hash checking approximately takes 14 - 16 hours, and the last time I use hash checking it deleted nearly 200GB finished files, I do not know why, now I was doing the hash checking because there seems to be no other way, hope everything will be fine this time, anyone here can help me thank you!
    btw, I think a lot of others may face the same problem as me.

      Consider either getting a faster disk/cpu, whichever is the bottleneck, or waiting 14-16 hours every 4 months.

      It's also possible to just chmod the .tta files to 444 or the likes (= read only).

      Even under Windows torrent clients usually respect the flag and won't do stuff to such files.

    A fun fact: leading dot in the latest Kishida Kyoudan album's name (.JP) may cause some problems. For instance, 7z extracted cue sheet with "Hidden" flag set, causing foobar2000 to ignore it.
    Clear "Hidden" flag and rename the cue sheet if you're missing that album for some reason.

      Stick with v13 if you still get good download speed until you finished. The script itself will not mess up but if you move incomplete files you will have to download roughly double the amount remaining on that files after you moved.

      Ughhh. I'm barely getting 50kb/s now. Just my luck. Think it's worth switching to v14 rather than waiting an extra week+ to finish this 5% off?
      I could get lucky and it might speed up, but all day so far it's been at around 50kb/s.
      Oh and just one last question regarding the python script. I don't have a clue how to run it. I've tried checking for a tutorial online and honestly, I have no idea what they're talking about. Can anybody run me through the process in as simple a way as possible?

      Download and install python here http://www.python.org/download/ then put the script you download from here inside Touhou Lossless Music Collection folder (the one with a lot of subfolders and a single .7z file).

      Double click the script - a black console window will appear for a couple of seconds and disappear shortly afterwards. Once it closed itself, you're done.

      Yep, when Vuze sees that "touhou lossless music collection" already exists, it creates a second folder "touhou lossless music collection(1)" and starts downloading from 0%... Vuze is so stupid. Glad I'm using utorrent.

      Then you're 'doing it wrong' as it never did that to me. Simply select the existing folder as target, it will warn, that "the folder already contains the following files... existing files will be checked for correct data and continued... blablabla" and it will continue the existing files as soon as you click "OK".

      When I add any torrent in Vuze, it doesn't even show the dialog for file destination, it starts downloading automatically. And if it sees that a folder with said name exists, it doesn't check for files but creates a different folder.
      I don't care if it can be fixed by changing the default configuration, I don't even want to waste time finding a way to figure it out when utorrent can do it properly on default settings. I prefer utorrent for it's simplicity and effectiveness.

      No, but I had another problem: uTorrent process doesn't exit after closing. If the process is killed, and torrent was downloading at the time of closing, uTorrent will recheck it at the next launch, which takes too much time.

      That's why switched back to Transmission installed on my laptop.

      Sometimes I wish these albums were in FLAC instead of TTA though.. just because of the FLAC's support :). Most music-based games have absolutely no idea what True Audio is ^^.

      BTW, what was the main reason to use TTA? File size? Or is it just because the original files were in TTA?

      This collection would be a great pain in the ass if someone wanted to recode everything into FLAC. Most of original files came from Perfect Dark, and they are TTA+cue there. I think everyone is welcome to recode their files into what they like most. I'll leave mine as TTA+cue, because it's better in terms of catalogization.

    Are there any torrent clients for Windows that will write all the files to the disk as empty files when you start the torrent (not pre-allocate)? I updated from v11 (I think) and ran the python script beforehand but I'm getting a different total size (1,272,170,540,215 bytes including the cue zip) and want to find where the difference is by making a duplicate file structure and comparing the file and folder names with another program. Don't have that much free space on another drive. I suppose I could shuffle shit around and pre-allocate but too much effort, lol.

    Two things:

    Artist folder "[あみゅれっとぉ。]" (old one) was renamed to "[あみゅれっとぉ]" (new one) as Anonymous mentioned before. Move folder "2010.03.14 [AMCD-0001] The Grimoire of Marionettes [例大祭7]" to the new folder if you haven't started the update already, or delete the old folder if already started.

    At some point "/[J&B]/2009.12.30 [JBCD-0007] airhead!" [C77] was renamed to "[J&B}/2009.12.30 airhead! [C77]", stripping the (possibly incorrect?) serial number or whatever. Rename the folder.

    These two changes make the total file size (minus the cue zip) correct.

    How feasible would it be to add replaygain information in the CUE metadata so that music playing clients can properly normalize the songs so they give a feeling of uniform volume levels? Since it can be done, I think, in the CUE file it would only require replacing the CUE file which can be done manually until v.15.

      Quite feasible, I'd guess (press foobar, wait a day, receive cuesheets). Anyone is free to scan their collection, write the metadata and post a link to the archive with modded cues here. I'm not sure I'm terribly excited about RG, so don't count on me releasing additional cues sheets with it for v.15. Might happen, though.

      One thing I wanted to add is the dynamic range of the albums, according to some metric. There are already tools to do that (TT DR meter, if I'm not mistaken), but sadly they aren't easily automated.

    Can somebody please tell me how, or link me to a guide on how to convert these to V0. First time I tried all the files was going into 1 folder, which was causing issues with duplicate song names. Next time I tried, I fixed it so they went into the same folder format as in this torrent, but I was STILL getting duplicate name stuff. I've tried a few other things but everything seems to have their own share of different problems.
    Anyway, I'm using foobar2000 to do the converting, so if anybody would like to help me, it'll be very much appreciated.

      Output path:
      Specify folder: X:\
      (Wherever you want to create a new "Touhou lossless music collection" folder.)

      Output style: Convert each track to an individual file.
      Name format: $replace($directory_path(%path%),X:\Music\,)\%tracknumber%. %title%
      (Where "X:\Music\" is the folder containing your "Touhou lossless music collection" folder.)

      The preview should then show something like "Touhou lossless music collection\[Circle]\Album\01. Track.mp3" for every selected track.

    I keep getting "Error: Touhou lossless music collection - Check: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)." every time utorrent checks the files since I had to restart my computer. Is there a way to fix this?

      Copy everything to a new drive since your current one could be corrupted or failing. Then check it for bad sectors and hope for the best. (It could also be caused by the interface you're using; I use an external drive and got that error when it was plugged in through a hub.)

    Most torrent trackers will now allow >262k pieces in a torrent file. Vuze, Deulge, and uTorrent all seem to have problems with this torrent because it has >300k pieces in it.

    For the next version, is it possible to create the torrent with 8mb size pieces so we reduce it back to <200k pieces and be workable for more clients?

    Circle is Hobby Atelier Carrot Wine.

    Track 5 is incorrectly named "How to spend winter" when it should be "A Witch's tragic love"
